About the South East Queensland Chamber of Commerce

The South East Queensland Chamber of Commerce provides an excellent 'show case' for successful Indigenous business people and their businesses.

Research indicates that there are in excess of 200 businesses in South East Queensland that are either owned and/or managed by Indigenous Australians, and there are many other Indigenous people holding senior positions both in the public and private sector.

The South East Queensland Indigenous Chamber of Commerce is a group of business people, driven by ambition, profit and community interests.

Bringing people, and businesses, together into an independent employers' business organization gives them a powerful voice and positions them as leaders in the economy.

It will be free to broach whatever topics its members/committee believe will assist both their members and their people, regardless of political or bureaucratic direction or policy.

The South East Queensland Indigenous Chamber of Commerce provides representation across six regions; Brisbane, Caboolture, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Ipswich and Toowoomba.

The Chamber encourages membership and support from Indigenous and Non-Indigenous businesses and organisations.
