The SEQICC are proud to support the 2016 Murri Vs Koori Interstate Rugby League Challenge Marketplace. We will be managing and organising stallholders.
We invite interested Indigenous and non-Indigenous vendors to apply.
About the event: The Annual Murri versus Koori Interstate Rugby League Challenge is a free spectator event, showcasing the talents of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and women on and off the footy field. The main event is a contest between the NSW and QLD State All Blacks Rugby League Champions, REDFERN ALL BLACKS and the SOUTHERN DINGOES.
The curtain raiser is a local derby between Queensland teams, BRISBANE NATIVES and the CHERBOURG HORNETS playing for the GYEMORE Shield. The first game of the day (as part of a 3 game series) will be a touch game between the Indigenous All-Stars Touch Team and the All-Stars Touch Team. Another HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT will be the 2016 Indigenous All-Stars On-Field Jersey Presentation. With the 2016 NRL All Stars to do battle the day after, event organisers are anticipating a big attendance on the night, with 5,000 PLUS participants to pass through the gates.
The Opportunity
The South East Queensland Indigenous Chamber of Commerce (SEQICC) will be managing the Community Marketplace at the event on behalf of the Arthur Beetson Foundation, the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health and Deadly Choices. The event provides a valuable platform for SEQICC members to showcase to footy fans and the local community the diverse range of goods and services offered by our Queensland Indigenous Business sector.
