Indigenous Business Directory

About the Directory

The Indigenous Business Directory (IBD) is a dynamic resource available to the Queensland Indigenous and business communities. The directory not only highlights the diversity of Indigenous business in Queensland, it helps dismiss some widely held misconceptions of the impact and success of businesses conducted by Indigenous Australians in Queensland.

In 2013, the development of this resource was generously supported of the Australian Government through the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR).

A pleasing aspect of the Indigenous Business Directory is the varied nature of Indigenous business including in the ‘newer’ sectors such as technology, culture, professional services and essential sectors such as education.

In the coming years the Indigenous Business Directory will continue to expand as Indigenous business grows. Much of this growth will be organic however you can contribute to this growth by using Indigenous businesses in your supply chains and value chains where Indigenous business can provide products and services.

Finally, your support in encouraging Indigenous businesses to register for the Indigenous Business Directory is appreciated.

Again thank you to the Executive Team at SEQICC for their commitment to realising the Indigenous Business Directory.
