Minjerribah Camping Pty Ltd, trading as Straddie Camping is an innovative private enterprise where the Quandamooka People of North Stradbroke Island manage the camping grounds and beaches on the Island.
Straddie Camping is a partnership between the Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation the Traditional owners of the land, and Indigenous Business Australia (IBA).
Straddie Camping, on North Stradbroke Island, manages hundreds of beachfront camping sites. Five township camping grounds offer powered and unpowered sites suitable for tents, camper trailers and caravans, as well as a selection of fully equipped cabins, and two ‘glamping’ Ecoshacks; and 26 beach camping areas offer 700 natural beachside camping sites.
Our vision is that “Straddie Camping will be Australia’s foremost island camping holiday experience, reflecting the spirit, cultural values and beauty of Minjerribah’s lands and seas; and delivering outstanding outcomes for our guests, the Quandamooka people and our community, through quality; service; relationships; profitability and environmental sustainability”.
