Date of release: 7 September 2022

This year, the South East Queensland Indigenous Chamber of Commerce (SEQICC) will host the first Queensland Indigenous Business Expo & Forum to reconnect with members and signal-boost a fresh beginning for Indigenous business in the state.
The one-day event will be held during Indigenous Business Month (IBM), on Friday 21st October 2022, and incorporate this year’s IBM theme; ACTIONS TODAY. IMPACT TOMORROW. Inspiring the next generation of business leaders.
SEQICC’s Executive Officer, Leanne Levinge, said the event is a result of feedback from SEQICC members who have expressed their need for the Queensland Indigenous business sector to unite during these unprecedented times.
“All businesses, large and small, have been impacted by COVID-19. Together with our partners and allies, we must continue to invest and build capabilities in our Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses,” Ms Levinge said.
“The SEQICC is excited to host a face-to-face event, after almost two years of exclusively hosting virtual events and small networking workshops across the South East Queensland region,”
Hosted at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, the flagship event will welcome First Nations businesses and exhibitors from across the state, including regional and remote communities.
Speakers will be announced soon | Early-bird tickets are on sale now via https://seqicc.com.au/qibef/ and Eventbrite.
